I am sick and tired of reading mommy bloggers who go on hating the Twilight series just because they think that it is immoral. Granted, most of these haters have not read the books and are going by what they heard others say. Yet they seem to be happy sitting on their high thrones and insult a book series that is much cleaner than some of the other books, TV, music and movies out on the market today.

I also will say I wonder how many of these mommy bloggers watch HBO or allow their children to see Hannah Montana(which is supporting a child star who now wears teddies on stage and pole dances). I wonder how many allow their kids to listen to adult top 40 radio, though their kids are not adults. I wonder how many of those mommy bloggers who have watched $#x In The City(yes, I spelled it like that to protect my blog).

It seems almost strange that they would attack a book that has a vampire who wishes to protect(though some say that Edward is controlling) Bella. He respects her father and mother; he is loving and wishes for her to stay human. What is not moral about the story? Twilight is much better than some stories that kids read, like Gossip Girl or other books like that. Many teen books now have $#x in them as if they were Harlequin novels. They are not the Babysitters Club or other innocent teen books that were on the market 20-30 years ago.

I guess what I am saying is before you insult a book like Twilight or the series, take a look at the real troubled media that you do allow your family to use.

Recently I was on another blog and saw someone talking about how they felt the need to “change” their lifestyle in order to serve God better. Now, this post is in no way saying that is wrong, in fact, it is a good idea to learn how to live with less. My issue is what another commenter recommended to her. The book is called Radical and is written by a former pastor David Platt.

In his book, he tells you to give up everything you have in order to serve God better. Again, in itself is not a bad idea to a degree depending on what you can afford to give up. Yet here he is, not only selling his book-but is also using his website to sell his other products!

So to recap this: he is telling you to get rid of all that you can, yet buy his books and other goods.

MMhmm, you did read that right! He wants you to help make him rich, while he has the nerve to tell you not to be. Seems a tiny bit twisted?

So back to my point, is using God’s own words in order to gain profit while telling others to do the opposite wrong? I want your opinions on this. Do you think that if he really cared to help others that he would give the book free? Do you think he would live his life as an example of what he teaches?

Canada's 20 Dollar BillCanada is the only country in the world that is booming in their economy at this point. In fact, their economy grew 6.1% in this year first 3 months alone! But the main question here is why? How are they keeping their economy floating and not sinking? Well, to be honest their answer is very simple-no risky business.
That is right; while Europe and the US both took major risk with sub prime loans could be found via their banks. And that has paid off for them it appears.
I like the way that they work and it shows that it is one way to keep your countries economy without flopping. I think other countries should take heed and follow how Canada has worked this out. Not only did their economy grow, they also have earned all the jobs lost at first.
So the question here is this, why doesn’t Europe and the US copy Canada’s lead? Should we or should we keep going down this major path of debt and destruction? I want to know your answers to these problems.

Yesterday I saw some interesting tweets and a blog post regarding monthly budgets being a game. It got me thinking and in my opinion turning a tight budget as a game for kicks and laughs lessens the important lesson a budget teaches. Which is self-control.

Many people who place themselves on it think that they cannot survive on one and thus test the waters. Yet millions of families and people have no choice but to live on a budget, which they do survive on it.

Now only does it make living on a budget a game takes away the value of it, it also causes people to think less of a budget. Like being on a budget is silly or makes people just cheap. Which for the most part, could not be further away from the truth.

Many families who live on a budget do not do this for kicks and laughs like some bloggers, or do not do it just to be cheap-for them it really is a matter of surviving.  People need to see that in this economy, many people have to be frugal and this is not a game.

Do you think living on a budget for games is wrong? I want your opinions to be heard.

If you have read my original blog location in 2008, you would have seen that I had plenty of topics regarding the current economic troubles. But just when things start to look a bit more normal(of course this has to do with the economy cylce and not who is in office. Take a look at FDR and see that he did not bring them out of the great depression), Europe is back at the table with economic issues. Which also brings back the topic to rest of the world.
It appears that since Germany and the IMF gave a “loan” to Greece, Europe has been worried about there own status among the Euro. Yet that quickly sends waves across there stock market, which in turn flows out to the rest of worlds stock markets.
The real question here is all these talks about going back into this depression real or fake?
You may wonder why anybody would ask if they are fake? Well, for around 20 years they have talked about a one world government and one world money system. If they make it sound like it will fall again, people will quickly pull out of stocks, which leads to it going down. Thus that leads to a round about of loss around the rest of the economy. If they do that, more people will rely on government support system and that will allow them to have more control.
In a sense, it is the perfect storm for them to issue a one world government if this was to happen.
Granted, we will not know what will happen in a few months down the line. This could all be talk and nothing may happen. Or again, it may happen.
What are your thoughts on this?

Obama is now ordering our national guard to go out and protect our borders, but the main question is “why”?

We all know that he and most Dems see these illegal aliens as future votes (never mind the fact that they are illegal and by law cannot vote!). But perhaps this is his answer to Arizona’s ground breaking law, which they say is only enforcing what our Feds will not?

Since they are not creating any new laws, but only following our federal law that is not being enforced-they cannot do anything about it. However, if they make an “effort” to appear that they are enforcing the law they might be able to do something to Arizona’s law.

On the other hand, perhaps he is hoping this will prevent other states from following Arizona’s awesome law.

However, Obama is saying that this is an “answer” to the drug lords that tearing up Mexico’s boarder towns and creeping into our own country.

Yet I find that hard to believe is enough push for him to do this.

What do you think and do you support this new order?

The home of controversial cartoon shows like South Park and many others is in the talks about creating a cartoon about Our Lord Jesus Christ.

If you can recall, a few weeks ago South Park aired an episode making fun of the Muslims “prophet”-yet the altered and censored it due to the threats the muslims made.

This so called “comedy” will mock Jesus and God the Father. The show is about Jesus(or JC, as they will call him) living in a big city(Chicago, I believe) and trying to escape His Father’s shadow(who they also claim is obsessed with video games).

Not only does this show make fun of Jesus and God the Father, it also shows no respect for the Christian faith. If they edited a South Park episode that was making fun of the Islam “prophet” due to it being insulting them, yet they are willing to mock Jesus only shows that they value Muslim beliefs over Christian ones.

Further more, most Christians are not making an out cry over it. Which not only shows you that they are telling Comedy Central that it is “okay”, but makes them seem weak.

If you want to tell them that you do not support the show or you want to help protest it, you can try to contact Viacom(who owns the network) and doug.herzog@comedycentral.com. Let’s send them a message that this is not okay!

Feel free to share this post and let me know in the comments what you think. Also, feel free to share any more ways to contact Viacom or petitions to sign that is against this “show”.

If you are a regular reader, you will notice that this blog was down for about 2 weeks. And I fully want to say that I am sorry for this. My host went down with contacting anyone and sadly so did my site. This will likely be a temporary location until I get another host, but this will have to do. I have loads to talk about and hope you will join me again.
